"The cure for boredom is curiosity. There is no cure for curiosity."
- Dorothy Parker

Although my writing falls into the category of the fantastic, I always look for authenticity in fiction. Every writer creates a fictional world, including those who call themselves journalists. The most compelling fictions are the ones that create a believable world - even one never seen before. So I like stories that have a sense of place, a bit of grit, or searingly vibrant details.

I'm here because I really appreciated the community on FanLib. I read so much in fandoms I knew nothing about. I found that a good story will work for any reader, regardless of fan-familiarity.

The Lost Mountain by Claremonty (Reviews - 57) starstarstarstarstar
Professor Xavier pulled her in. His mind had fused with the ancient codex. But the star only wanted Jean. This sun was alive. As it embraced her, enfolding her body in wings of flame, it revealed its name…Phoenix. Can Warren Worthington, the Angel, save Jean Grey from immolation?

BurnOut by Claremonty (Reviews - 9) starstarstarstarstar
Who is Jean Grey? What is happening to her? Warren Worthington wonders, flying after her. Charles Xavier is also wondering who or what she is. Is she still his most responsible student, the other voice inside his head…or has she become something alien, with uncontrollable powers that threaten not only herself, but the X-Men and every being on Earth…
